Principal Attorney Recognized as Attorney for the Month

In June 2023, the Erie County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP) recognized outstanding work by one of its volunteer attorneys: Ifeoluwa Popoola.

The association praised attorney Popoola — principal attorney of Anike Law and an assistant county attorney for the Erie County Department of Law — for stepping out of her normal area of practice to assist some of VLP's indigent immigration clients in need of an attorney.

Attorney Popoola is featured on a page of the VLP newsletter.

Over a period of several months, Popoola helped a family of three asylees apply to become Legal Permanent Residents, and she committed to representing a client in her citizenship application process.

“Thank you Ifeoluwa for your commitment to providing access to justice for row income people in our community,” wrote the VLP in their monthly newsletter.
